Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler Fire Up Warriors for Win Over Bucks

This was one of those nights at the Chase Center where the Warriors didn’t just scrape by—they showed off a well-rounded, shoot-it-from-anywhere vibe that put the Bucks on notice. It ended 120-113 in favor of Golden State, thanks to Stephen Curry dropping 31 points with his signature step-back three-pointer sealing the deal late in the game with just 26 seconds left. That shot? Yeah, it was basically the mic drop of the evening.

And if you thought it was just Curry doing the heavy lifting, wait for it—Jimmy Butler chipped in 21 points and grabbed five rebounds, a solid supporting role that kept the Bucks at bay, especially pressing when Steph took a breather. Plus, De’Anthony Melton came off the bench and quietly hit 22 points, including five threes, showing he’s fully back from injury and ready to pop off when it counts.

This game was more than just scores—Golden State nailed 18 three-pointers, showing off a serious long-range arsenal, even while being outboarded 53-42 on rebounds. It wasn’t just offense, either; Draymond Green, known for his defense, added 14 points and seven assists and clamped down hard, even drilling back-to-back threes in the fourth quarter that gave the Warriors a safe cushion when things got close.

Giannis Antetokounmpo put up a beastly 34 points with 10 rebounds himself, but even his MVP firepower wasn’t enough to turn the tide. The Bucks ran some moments of momentum, trimming Golden State’s lead toward the end, but the Warriors’ teamwork and timely shooting just held firm.

This win bumps the Warriors to 20-18, kind of a sweet spot to be in right now as they start what might be a season-defining eight-game homestand. With Curry leading the charge and Butler along for the ride, this squad looks like it might just be cooking. Next up, they welcome the Sacramento Kings to keep the streak alive and, hopefully, build some serious heat at home.
